Streatley Village Cakes is a small family run business making celebration cakes and desserts including Birthday and Wedding Cakes in Berkshire.  We are situated on two floors of a rambling victorian mansion house in Streatley on Thames, situated between Pangbourne and Wallingford, around 10 miles from Reading and Newbury. 

All cakes are designed and made by myself, Rebecca Bell, a keen cook, with a passion for creating beautiful cakes fresh to order with exceptional attention to detail. 

I started Streatley Village Cakes in June 2009 after finding it difficult to obtain interesting celebration cakes made in a nut free environment for my youngest child who has a severe tree nut allergy.  I have been delighted to discover a perfect outlet for my love of cooking, art and design now that my children are at school and I have more time on my hands.

A loyal customer base has grown very quickly through word of mouth and recommendation, and I have had many compliments from customers regarding the finish, attention to detail, taste and texture of my cakes and desserts.  

I also supply chocolate fudge cakes (and some other cakes) to Pierrepont's in Goring on Thames on a regular basis, where they continue to be very popular.

I do not use ingredients that are labelled as containing nut or peanut traces and ingredients used have to be made in a nut free environment due to our circumstances.  I take many precautions to minimise the risk of nut/peanut contamination, but I am unable to guarantee that my products are free of nut or peanut traces.  I can also make dairy and gluten free cakes, although dairy and wheat are used on our premises.
